He was a legend,
Unknown to man
A wonderful dream
On a far off land.

Just out of reach
Close to reality
Desired and hoped for,
Fine as can be.

True or false
Friend or foe?
From a distance
Man's questions grow.

Rugged look
Tender heart.
A dream with which
Man shall never part.

Near perfection
Hardly a flaw
Friend of the rich
Forgotten are the poor.

Man's wasted chance
His shattered dream
The brightest light
Now a small beam.

Can he be reached?
It is unknown.
Shall man be left
All alone?

Sorry is the man
Who wasted his chance
Can he be forgiven
And his life enhanced?

His prayer is answered
Forgiven is he
His dream is now reality.

As the days come and go
Our love for each other seems to grow
I have no doubt, I know it's true
That you love me and I love you.

In my mind I see your smiling face
And I long for the warmth of your embrace.
I want for us to be together
So I could hold you in my arms forever.

When we're not with each other I long for you
Hoping before the day is through
You say to me, "have no fear,
Just wait a while and I'll be there."

I've met no one like you before
Now I have you I need no more
I look for refuge when we are apart
But nothing feels as good as your welcoming heart.

There is a place for you in my heart
It was made for you from the very start
With all your love and all your grace
Nothing else can fill the space.

I feel as if life will end
The walls are closing in
As I lose my friend
My nerves are thin.

Friendship takes time and caring
I provided these things everyday,
Happiness, trust and sharing;
But things have gone astray.

As we can no longer relate
To each other anymore
These feelings I hate
And I feel to shut the door.

A friend, a best friend at that
Is not easy to forget.
Every thing is black
I can see no light as yet.

It is a terrible thing to feel
When a friend no longer cares
It's as if nothing is real
And you're facing all your fears.

Even though others may come along
You don't want it to end;
But you must be strong
God will be your friend.
